A great escape made famous by Houdini.
Direct from Houdini's show contains this seldom seen illusion, but it's a real fooler. To begin with, the audience is allowed to totally examine the pillory. One audience member is actually locked inside to try to escape. It can't be done. The magician is then put in the pillory, locked and secured. Standing behind him, his assistant raises a drape and instantly they switch places. She is released and all take well deserved bows.
