The guard is cast in steel and brass, chrome plated. The extruded blade .was custom made for us by a famous golf club manufacturer. This blade will not bend and will last a lifetime. We chose a round blade for many reasons but the most important reason is that a round surface reflects images lengthwise along its surface. This hides the black elastic as it becomes part of the reflection from all around.
We have also engineered a new tip system. This male/female tip actually nests when the card(s) is produced, preventing the clatter associated with other card swords. This also prevents the tip from landing askew which many other tips do.
We have used a combination elastic and rubber band system which propels the card(s) quickly, with less fatigue on the elastic.
All in all, we spent over 2 years developing our Card Sword and we believe it is the finest ever made. We hope you agree.
]]>We have made two styles in the past, one with a threaded top and a threaded pin and the more recent with a threaded top and a pin with a lock. We have chosen to thread the top to make the effect more impossible in the minds of the spectator. They know that it is impossible to thread the lid on in the short time allowed in the presentation.
We have been alerted to the fact that some of our tubes make a rasping noise when you push the gimmick home. We apologize for this, but there is an easy fix. Simply polish the inner tube with a bit of Brasso or use candle wax on the inner tube. Should you not have any luck doing that, please feel free to return the tube and we will take care of the problem. This problem is isolated and does not occur with all our Bill Tubes, just a few that got past us.
Viking Bill Tubes are the top of the line and as are all our products guaranteed against defects. Should you have a problem with any of our items, contact us immediately and we will take care of the problem.
]]>At age 17, Damir and a friend discovered a magic shop in the town of Sombor and purchased their first professional props which they used to perform before the public. Damir was formally educated as a turner in Osijek, a profession he selected precisely because of his interest in creating magic props. His other hobbies included drawing and painting all of which have added to his artistic arsenal.
Magic remained in Damir’s life, albeit in the background until 2014 when a magic festival in Osijek reawakened his desire to create and collect quality magic props. This ‘awakening’ opened the floodgates allowing Damir to bring to life concepts never before used in magic.
His use of select indigenous hardwoods combined with a keen sense of precision and unusual and inventive ideas have resulted in a new line of close-up magic that is sure to find favor with collectors and performers alike. Each offering will be limited to 24 pieces, each bearing the logo of Damir Djanis, along with detailed instructions.
Our first issue from the Limited-Edition Damir Exclusives is entitled The Palamedes Revelation and will be available in February 2022.
